Narrow throat & difficult to feed, easily overloaded
I looked at a few of these and chose this one based on it being a 5-sheet capability and a decent bin size at a reasonable price. The metal cross-cutting head looked robust enough, but the throat turned out to be a bit too narrow and it was difficult to feed the maximum 5-sheets of A4 into it. Unfortunately for me, I unintentionally overloaded at within ten minutes of using it, and stripped the teeth off the main nylon gear-wheel that drives the cutting head. My fault entirely so I couldn't in any conscience return the shredder for a refund, so it had to go to the dump. Lasted a few weeks and then stopped working
All seemed well... but then after having been working absolutely fine, after just a few weeks the next time I went to use the shredder, it wouldn't work at all. And yes, I had been following the instructions to use for only a couple of minutes at a time to avoid burning out the motor. Bizarrely, it had been working fine, then turned off and left for probably a week or so without being used, and then next time it is plugged in there is nothing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Steer clear

Good little shredder
Good price, good quality. Runs on a tiny bit after paper has gone through, and cuts out after 2 minutes to prevent over heating. So I just have to get used to doing my shredding in smaller batches.
