Lightweight with good features at a low cost.

The product is quite lightweight in comparison with other feeders I possess. No reason to believe however it will not do the job in keeping the squirrels out.

    Not exactly squirrel proof!

Obviously the squirrels round my way have super squirrel strength. Perhaps they've been building themselves up for this time of year when bird loving humans excitedly hang out feeders hoping to catch a glimpse of a nuthatch or woodpecker. All I had was a bunch of pumped up squirrels who worked in unison to rip the inner cage open and spill all the nuts on the ground! Even using my grandson's super duper water gun on them didn't work, they just sat on the fence staring belligerently at me. The cat just looked on bemused at so many of them lined up ready to take their turn at proving there is no such thing as a squirrel proof nut feeder. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. It would have been a great product if not for those pesky 'tree rats'.

  • Good quality bird feeder.

Good quality but squirrels in my garden have, unbelieveably, managed to get at the peanuts. I shall use it for fat balls in future as the squirrels are not keen on them.

  • Great peanut holder for our wild birds

This is a great product for peanuts. Unfortunately we have a lot of determined squirrels & somehow they have made a few holes in the inner container. The other birds are getting fed but I can’t say it is 100% squirrel proof.

  • It works!!

It really does stop the squirrels from getting their mouth to the contents, but it does not stop them from shaking it to make seed fall out of the holes. However they soon give up bothering.

  • Lid needs to be squirrel proofing!

We must have 'super squirrels' ! They can uplift the lid, dive down and take the nuts! Our original feeder (also squirrel proof) was chewed through the wire mesh base! Some better locking system would need to be looked at. I've used 2 wire closures!

  • Birdfeeder would definitely recommend

Very easy to use and does the job that it says will do I feed the squirrel separately every day but they are greedy little mites and want the Bird nuts as well but this does the job.

  • Not squirrel proof!

Quite a basic peanut holder but guess as it was not expensive you get what you pay for. One squirrel worked out within one day of it being hung up that it could grab the base of the holder and pull the feeder towards it enough to get his head through the outer wires. The inner wires are very flimsy and I have no doubt said squirrel would chew through these very easily and reap the rewards.

  • Didn't work

Unfortunately, not squirrel proof. They rip the lid open and eat from the top, and now have completely chewed through the wiring so the nuts fall straight out. They come and empty a full feeder in about 20 minutes. I have got a nest of around 4 squirrels in one of my garden trees currently so this doesn't help, but still.
