natural, extra length in the middle, easy to clean.
These are very simple yet very useful oven gloves. The distance between the gloves is longer than usual which makes the easier to use on larger oven dishes. The neutral colour will go with so many kitchen styles, I like the natural look. They are easy to clean and thick enough to be useful whilst not so thick that you cannot move your hand inside to grip things. Oven gloves that are long enough, yippee!
At last. Gloves that are long enough, and soft enough to get a good grip. I have been looking for good oven gloves for ages. Most are too short, which is dangerous when handling large heavy roasting tins with sizzling fat in them. Also, the quilted style are too stiff which makes it harder to get a safe grip. These gloves are great, and certainly the best I have found so far. The only thing is that I would rather that they were one layer thicker, I would rather pay more for greater thickness. Traditional Double Oven Glove
The length is ideal but as supplied, the hand pocket insulation is too thin. However, I did devise an easy fix which made the item 100% excellent. As there are two hand pockets at each end of the glove, I improved insulation by inserting a couple of layers of tea towel material into one pocket at each end. My hands then go in the hand pockets on the opposite side to the ones with the extra insulation. If the item had come with this extra layer of insulation, it would have received 5 stars. Otherwise I'm really happy with the item. It's the length I wanted, and having to add a bit of extra insulation was no big deal, though it should not really have been necessary for me to bolster up the heat resistance of the gloves. Best ever oven gloves
So many oven gloves try to protect the hands, but loose the ability to grip in the process because of too much padding and stiffness, which can lead to reaching for a more flexible tea towel again. These are not too thick, they are long enough to enable both hands to grip the widest oven dish, and are flexible to enable a firm grip. I've bought several pairs for family members too, we all love them. No going back to thick padded ones. Plus, these are natural fibres, brilliant. Good practical mitt.
Looks a bit cheap but is really very functional. Pretty heatproof, love the fact that it is double sided so you have pockets whichever way you pick it up. Cloth has a nice texture. Longer and thunder than they used to be
