  • super slim and lightweight

I purchased these mudguards to put on my Tarmac. Very simple to put together held in place with 3 cable ties and stay supports. They do fit very close to Tyre's mine being 23c but function perfectly well. Take time to adjust and there will be zero contact with tyre. When riding on gravel cycle path did notice small stones sticking to black chilli rubber and scraped on mudguards as the wheel turned this only served as a slight annoyance but not the mudguards fault just shows how close these fit. They look pretty cool and don't take away from the look of a pure road bike. If i was to recommend an improvement it would be to swap out the plastic threaded screws and bolts for stainless even though these work great i would like to nip them up a little tighter. Buy this product you will not regret it.

  • cheap but flimsy. the plastic screws used to hold the arms on undo and fall out.

This product is v poor. The screws come undone then fall out while travelling and I had to glue some in. Then the plastic stays just break. Used on my daughters commuting bike for a few miles each day since September, now ready to throw away after 3m. There are better products out there for a bit more cash eg raceblades which Ive used for years. They also will not fit anything bigger than a 23mmx 700c- don't get if you run 25s.

  • Light, 'easy' to affix

Good value for money, easy to affix and value for money. I particularly liked the adhesive little brushes that dampen any chaffing noise.

  • Lightweight, but fiddly to set up

This is my second set of these mudguards. Although they look a little unusual being all soft plastic, including the stays, and rather floppy, they are highly effective when set up correctly. The extended tail of both mudguards is great for keeping your feet and back dry even in heavy rain. They are designed to fit all bikes, even those where the clearance between wheel and fork is very tight. They are very light, which is why I don't mind leaving them on all year round, but they are rather fiddly to set up initially. Fitting is via rubber bands around the forks and the sections of the mudguard are joined together by plastic nuts and bolts. The latter are prone to work loose unless checked regularly ( I advise the use of Loctite or similar on the threads). The mudguards have soft brush pads fitted to the inside to minimise drag if they should touch the wheel. A word of warning: because the mudguards are very light, they are also rather fragile. If a nut and bolt should come undone or a piece of stone or road gravel be kicked up under the mudguard, it will break easily. I have repaired my mudguards with plastic (extra ends supplied with the mudguards) and pop rivets several times over 2 years. Overall, I have been very pleased with these mudguards (2 sets!) but they are probably rather expensive considering that the manufacturing cost is probably less than one third of what they charge!
