Tapes causes Wow & Flutter due to frictions

These TDK SA90 or TDK MA90 or TDK CDing 90 tapes are the last batch made in Luxembourg in 1995 with the wrapper label ITEM CODE xxxxxxxxxEB These tapes are problematic and they cause lots of wow & flutter because they have great frictions (cassette deck struggle to play/record in the latter spool of the tapes, i.e. near to the end of the tapes). This is why the price is falling and the experts users pf these tapes knows all about the problems.

  • Premium price for premium quality

Very good tape. Slightly better quality comparing to the normal ferric one. The tape case and the box have also a bit nicer finish and the recording feels clearer. I think it requires a high-end equipment to fully appreciate the difference and justify the 2.5 times higher price comparing to the ferric tape.

  • Dependable

I used these tapes in the 1980's because they are so dependable if you want your recordings to sound great; I use nothing else!
