An outstanding movie with all-encompassing title.
This is the original version of this film. The characters are all outstanding as is the movie as a whole. The remake was terrible. I highly recommend this film to one and all.

Timelessness; It's what makes a contemporary film an instant classic. The Classic movies today belong to Marvel Studios and Disney. The ingredient of Timelessness is what The Goodbye Girl is about. Two unlikely people connect and find they can't do without each other. The tale is as old as time itself and yet here's a late 1970's flick that my kids (they're young adults) find enjoyable. The reason some of the chick flicks of today will never hold a candle to The Goodbye Girl is because they serve up Timelessness and it tastes like 'old hat'. So it's not just the story; it's how it is told. If you have never seen the Goodbye Girl, treat yourself to Love in New York City, 1970' s style - It will be like you were there. By the way - I got my disc quick and in perfect condition.
