This is just my opinion because in headphones, loud sound and bass is my goal. These JBL headphones have alot of features bluetooth, app options, noise cancelling and they have good sound and good bass. But I have a older Sony set (sorry I dont know model) but they have no features, not even bluetooth. They charge and plug in with a 3.5mm but they rock hard. I can feel the bass inside myself as if I were at a concert in person. If I had the choice again. I would have tried the sony w-1000 series.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Great headphones

Sound quality was good but too heavy
Just too heavy compared to the competition (Bose & Sony). The sound and ANC seem just as good as the Bose 700 and the Sony 1000MX4, but just not comfortable enough to wear very long for me. Amazing sound and power; however, room for improvement in ergonomics.
The sound is AMAZING! They are comfortable to a point. I would have made the foam a little thicker (deeper, maybe) or sturdier so the speaker's screen wouldn't touch the ear. The headband is so strong that it pushes the speaker hard against your ear, and after a while, it gets tiresome and bothers, and sometimes it even hurts to have them on for long periods. They are heavy, but for a good reason. The drivers are massive, and the bass is off the charts excellent (no complaints there). The battery lasts forever, even at loud volume, and if you run out of power, it has a cord that you can connect to continue listening passively. The bottom line?
