Wand Company Star Trek communicator Expensive but great fun
For authenticity, working detail and great fun this is the model to buy. The packaging is great and really gives you a sense of style. The communicator comes in a small protective case that houses all the individual parts. The communicator its self is robust but light -weight. It has many original voices from the series (Spock McCoy Sulu Scotty etc) plus many sound effects too. The jewel in the crown is the blue tooth function that connects to your phone. You get the hailing sound when the phone rings and the connection is crystal clear. On the down side the two small buttons on the communicators face can be quite fragile and seeing as you need to toggle these repeatedly to access all the voices replies, commands etc that could be something that the designer looks at improving. To finish the communicator comes with a magnetic stand so you can display it too if you should wish. So a great piece of nostalgia and fun which looks good and sounds good. These are not cheap and increasing in value all the time but in my opinion it's the best model for Collectiors (The phaser too is great). So Congratulations to the Wand Company for a great item.

A must have for any trek fan or just anybody who's interested in gizmos and gadgets. Highly detailed with plenty of effects sounds and functions designed to keep you satisfied. This pristine looking functioning prop replica and it's thick foam lined u.s.s enterprise stamped transit case is one of the ultimate collectibles for display, phone calls, sending texts asking what the weather is going to be like and so on. There so many things you can do you almost forget you actually have a mobile phone. Due to safety regulations your not aloud to beam any family members out of the house without prior approval. Hats off to the seller of these fine items would recommend if you are buying off them and to the wand company for making it possible!
