Alexa Echo Dot with Clock is a BarnStormer!
Alexa with clock shows the time, the temperature when asked (says the temperature & shows it), and shows the timers/alarms. She counts them down. I got her for connecting with Sonoff swtiches & ewewlink / Smart link. Everything is compatible. OK, but not what I was expecting
Alexa is limited in her knowledge on maps, cities, towns, etc. She is just not nearly as knowledgeable or able to deliver the knowledge that I was expecting! The Most Advanced Alarm Clock I've Ever Owned
I purchased this unit to act as a failsafe alarm clock in case my tablet alarm doesn't go off. The only reason I didn't give it five starts is that I believe that it would benefit from a battery backup. In my case, the wall wart is right at the head of my bed just below the top of the mattress, and one time my pillow pushed the wall wart enough to lose power. So, as long as it is powered, it works great, and allows for endless "skills" to be added -- kind of like apps for a phone or tablet. One last note was that I'm glad you can disable touching the top surface for snooze, since in the dark it's nearly impossible to directly press the OFF button.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A great buy
This Amazon Echo Dot is fantastic! Setup was easy and I think the speaker is better than the previous version. The one unfortunate thing is that I got the white sandstone color. Every time I go to pick up my echo, I end up having to touch the fabric of the speaker running along the outside. It is impossible not to touch it. I can tell my echo is getting dirty and I'm unsure how to clean it properly. Still, the echo seems to be very hardy. My little brother has knocked it off the kitchen table a few times and it hasn't broken. a good beginning
right away i see ideas where the echo could be improved. amazon needs to add an hdmi output and an rj45 port for wired ethernet,also a usb port,and an infrared port in the front for remote use and an emitter for non bluetooth device intergration. the clock display could do double cuty for status play pause etc. and last,intergrate kodi into the device. a local cache of alexa custom behaviors would be nice. perhaps building this into a better form factor ,such as a dvd player,or as a feature on a motherboard,or perhaps an add in computer card. good work guys.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
