Excellent compass for those navigation beginners
This is an excellent quality for a compass from Suunto. If you're a beginner like me, this is a great tool to practice with. The only issues I have with this compass is when setting declination, the arrow marker takes over quite a bit of area and it is hard to discern the details on the scale. I double check both sides to make sure I'm on the correct degree. The "mirror" is not really a mirror like in those flip up pocket mirrors for makeup. I would call it more of a "reflective surface" instead but it's enough to show the arrows when you're doing a sight bearing. Overall, excellent compassVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Suunto MC-2DLIN, for when coming back alive is a necessity.
Pro: it is a Suunto, rugged, easy to use, accurate, reliable, great value, light weight, and luminescent dial , North arrow, and "Dog house" points. There are Chinese knock offs for a fifth the price, but I have yet to see one that is as accurate or as reliable as a Suunto and I have tried multiple ones and they just do not measure up . Would you trust your life to the real thing or cheap copy? I now have two of them, just in case! One stays in my BOG pack, and the second one is in my everyday pack.
