Great Set Of Gauges
I bought this product to replace my old trusted feeler gauges. Its a really good set of gauges with just about every size you could ever wish for and its real high quality too and a steal for the price. My only complaint is that its saturated in oil out of the packet which I understand is for lubrication and preservation purposes but there is so much oil on these gauges that handling them is a very slimy experience so would recommend giving them a rub down. Doesn’t quite fit the bill for metric.
After buying this I quickly noticed that the metric measurements are mostly in between sizes but the imperial measures are exact numbers. This essentially renders the metric side of it relatively useless as none of the measures match anything in mm. I was surprised as it’s advertised metric and imperial, which technically it is, but will not help you gap any spark plug or rocker gear gap. You an see this in some example pics below. I have many other feeler gauges which usually have the metric and imperial units on separate feelers, which is obviously necessary due to the different thicknesses. All in all this is useless for metric especially mechanics and that’s due to bad design. If your looking for imperial it’s ideal with its large range of sizes. Cheers

Set your required specific thickness and then, simply mind the gap!

The feeler gauge arrived with a coating of oil on the blades to prevent corrosion during transport or in storage. This worked well, as was evident after a quick wipe down of the blades with a paper towel. The gauges include every size, or combination of sizes, that is likely to be required. Very good quality for the price
Quite well made item. Slightly sticky in the hinge so the really thin leaves need pulling taught to select but so do most of these gauges. Measured a random selection of thick and thin leaves using a good micrometer. They were all between exact size and +0.015mm which is good for the price. Feeler gauges
I haven't bought any feeler gauges for years, the new ones are very good quality, the only problem for me was that the blades are full width along the whole length so I couldn't get the tip into my contact breaker points to measure the gap.
