Brilliant bit of kit!
Bought this to tackle an overgrown leylandi hedgerow. It managed up to 17-18 mm diameter branches. It was light enough to use held out sideways and straight up for quite a while, and appears suitably well made to last. Not quite as effective as expected
This Einhall Electric Pole Trimmer is pretty versatile, allowing that you can add or remove the central extending pole section depending on the height of the area to be trimmed.. It also seems very well made from quality materials and quite robust although I haven't had it long enough to really judge it's durability. It CAN be a little unwieldy at time due to it's weight but it is notably lighter than an comparable petrol unit. Where it is a definite disappointment is in what I consider, to be a lack of cutting power. The cutting blade seems pretty slow moving and it can need the blade to be moved a lot slower than I would like, for the blades to do the job which can be a bit frustrating. Ideally you need to try the weight and balance out, FULLY assembled and before buying to judge the feel and to bear in mind the limited cutting power and speed. In hindsight, I think I might have put up with the extra weight and cost of a petrol cutter for it's benefits. .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Perfect for me.
Firstly, next day delivery was great. I used it immediately to cut my 8ft tall 4ft wide hedge. It made life easy being long reach I could cut right across the top of the hedge. Sturdy, well-made produce which did the job I bought it for.
Very well made product. Easy to use. Slightly heavier than expected but that didn't prove a problem. Struggled a bit on thicker stems of a cupressus hedge but cut beech hedge well. The quick release on the shoulder strap, released itself rather too easily especially when leaning over to cut the op of a wide hedge.
