I really purchased it for the drill bit as my old one was damaged. This little jig is ideal for working in a tight spot when repairing a damaged wardrobe allowed me to get a fix in and save a lot of hassle and time. Tried once; bought for ½″ wood so need to overlap the edge by ¼″ (according to the instructions online, not supplied). Drilled a beautiful pocket hole, although the built-in metal guide supports only 8mm bits, whereas 6mm would have been more appropriate This will work much better with ¾″ timber. No guide marks or fences; external clamp required. Clamp flush for ¾″ timber, or move by ¼″ for ½″ or 1″ wood thickness (to centre the hole in the end grain). Great little jig, well worth the extra cash compared to others, the drill bit it comes with is sharp and bores into wood easily, with an extra "pointy" end to make sure the screws not split the work piece. i would recommend this over the silverline jig if you plan to use it often, however, for "once in a blue moon" pocket-holing, you may consider the silverline or off brand jig to save some money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
