Nioxin System 4 does a great job cleaning the scalp.
Nioxin is great for people with thinning hair (I use the one also for colored hair). It leaves the scalp open to accepting the Minoxidil I use to encourage root growth (or whatever product you use). I've used other shampoos that actually clogged the roots, and my hair started falling out again. I went right back to Nioxin and will never use anything else again. You need only a small amount to get a nice lather buildup. Love the smell. Clarifies my hair, the way my former product did. My former product is no longer available, which is why I changed. This product is superior compared to other products. What is useful with the Nioxin system of products is that your type of hair is important to choose the appropriate system. I have fine hair and also color it. These 2 facts lead to a recommendation to use System 4. There are other systems appropriate for other hair types such as for coarse hair.
