I am very impressed with this small driver with big performance

It is amazing how the same driver can lightly drive drywall screws and also take off my car lug bolts. It works very well and its battery lasts a long time. ( I have the small battery)

    Insufficient Torque For Most Jobs

I bought this to maintain my cars. I own all of the other Bosch 18V tools that use the same battery pack. They are all excellent tools and I assume that this one would be, too. I was disappointed. It has insufficient torque for most tasks. I did not expect it to spin off wheel lug nuts without loosening them first, but I did expect it to have more torque than it does. I bet the problem is that the tool has been adapted from the smaller impact driver in the same Bosch product line that spins 1/4" hex bits. That smaller device works much, much better. The high speed, low torque design of the 1/4" hex version did not translate well to the 1/2" tool because 1/2" sockets fit loosely on the tool's mandrel and drown out the torque pulses.

  • If you’re invested in Bosch this is a nice addition.

This is my ninth, Bosch 18v li ion tool & it is unique, & versatile .Knowing both Milwaukee & Dewalt offerings have more torque & a leave this tool in the dust in head to head comparison, I would would start differently today. Guys who claim they are using it on lug nuts must have some very low requirements. As an everyday driver, with the 1/2 square, & 1/4 hex drive options, I look forward to using it on all my light & medium driving needs.

  • Powerful enough for most things

I can usually get lugs and other bolts off with this but if you have something stubborn that's rusted, this probably wont do the trick. I also tighten lugs by hand after using this, it's probably strong enough to tighten lugs, but just to be safe I check it with a breaker bar

  • Lightweight with great features

It works. I never thought I'd ever use an impact drive. Never. I was actually shopping for a brushless drill and read a few reviews on the brushless drill and impact driver set. Then someone mentioned lug nuts. I have cars, trailers, more trailer, tractors, you name it. I'm always taking off lug nuts. I hate taking off and putting on lug nuts. I've been doing it with a socket set my whole life. Bingo, I need an impact. First thing I used it for was driving oversized screws in while refastening my pole barn roof. Eurika, worlds better than a drill for running in fasteners. I'm always building decks and starways and other "screwed down stuff." An impact so far outperforms a drill it's silly. How I lived without one of these I'll never know.

  • Smooth and easy to handle.

I've only used it three times, smooth, easy to hold, does the job. More time is needed to really rate it.

  • Nice Tool

This is a nice lightweight tool. Not enough power to take lugs off a wheel but has power to do most other things around the house or shop.
