Super cool, in look and feel
This product has changed my life it is Slim, Cold and easy to use, no filling with water, no mixing the gel together. Just unwrap and lay under pillow or where ever you need it. I have Fibromyalgia at night my muscles burn, it hurts and it keeps me awake the soles of my feet feel like they are on fire. I laid one under the pillow case and one by my feet and for the first time in years I have been able to get more that a couple of hours sleep per night. These keep you cool all night and in the summer I just couldnt be without them now. The price is fantasic after some i have been quoted and I have had the "fill with water" ones and they were lumpy and annoying. Not like my last JML Chillmax
This is my second pillow by this brand. The first lasted a few years and was great but stopped getting cool so I ordered a replacement. The new one is not cool at all unless placed in the fridge. Even then it heats up very quickly and gives very little relief from my hot flushes. Maybe I’ve been sent a faulty one but I can’t be bothered with the stress of trying to return it as I have a disability and its difficult for me to get to the post office or shops which is why I like to shop online.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Chillmax pillow left me feeling flushed
Sorry ,i rarely do bad reviews but I'm not impressed.i have to be truthful and at the end if the day this is only my experience..The pillow looked great and is well made. No argument there,however, first night it balled up under my neck and next day i had a somewhat painful neck. Ok will try again. Still found it slipped and moved a fair bit, heated up way too quickly,(i suffer night sweats) and i got fed up and threw it onto the floor.Im recovering from a badly broken wrist and had the cast removed recently and this pillow DID give me some comfort with the after pain as i also have torn ligament in the wrist. It eased it enough to allow me some sleep when painkillers didnt work, so i guess for that alone its well worth the try. Will persevere with the ChillMax pillow another while,if not happy by then i shall pass it on to someone who may get on better with it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than expected.
I have tried this a couple of ways. Sleeping directly on it (with a baby pillowcase to keep it clean) was too cold, even though I hadn't put it in the fridge - it gave me a headache. I persevered for a couple of nights but I woke up after a couple of hours with my head hotter than ever - it does leach away the heat from the head, but by the same principle, it then retains that heat for a long time! I now have it under my pillow - it seems to work surprisingly well there - it pulls the heat from my head more gently, and there is another layer then to prevent the heat from coming back. At last I can stay cool!
It works! It is quite weighty - but not uncomfortable once inside the pillow, and stays put mostly. Haven't tried it in the fridge for a few hours yet because it works for a good few hours as it is. Just what I needed.
For several years I've been plagued with burning feet at night, preventing me sleeping. This is the ideal solution. Placed at the foot of my bed, it lies flat and covers most of the (single) bed width. After a while it warms up, but if I take my feet off it, it cools down again quickly. Instant relief
This product is really very good and the cold is instant when you press into the pillow, the only reason i haven't given it five stars is because after a while the filling in the pillow gets displaced so it feels a bit warm so you would have to plump it out again and it would be just as cold again, i would recommend this though.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
