Does the job well
Very effective, plastic construction so sometimes makes a creaking noise when oscillating but it's not unbearable. Easy to position because of it light, slim design. Remote control is a bonus. Design over function.
There's no doubting that this room fan is stylish and will fit in well with most owners room decor, however it is not without its shortcomings. 1. It is very lightweight and a little flimsy, the base could benefit from some metal ballast as during its "oscillating cycle" it wobbles quite noticeably. 2. It is LOUD !!! I'm hard of hearing and this fan is loud too my ears. 3. I should of realised that to get a good airflow from a fan, you need large fan blades and these are not, as a consequence it needs to be on its fastest and consequently LOUDEST setting to even come close to the lowest setting on an old pedestal fan we still have. 5. It is stylish and the blue LED display is nice to look at, the small remote works well as long as you have 'line of sight' between the two units. In a nutshell, it looks the part but I'd recommend you save yourself in the region of £25 and buy a good quality LARGE free standing pedestal fan.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bought this for a present. While the Fan itself is great and fits into a small space the bottom stand is a little flimsy. Great cold air distribution and different speeds are all great and the added bonus is the timer feature all which can be set by buttons on the fan or it can be done using the handy remote control. Slim, modern with limited noise.
Excellent purchase! Very well designed, lightweight and quiet. Remote control is a great asset of being able to control the fan without having to do this manually. The timer is also a great asset if you wanted to leave this on knowing it will switch itself off. Best cooling fan on the market
This is an excellent fan with three air speeds. The lowest one is very quiet so very good for the bedroom and with gentle cooling. It does rotate if you prefer a constant movement and all remote controlled. As it is a tower fan it has a lovely reach of cool air. Not too short!
This is a sleek great looking room fan/cooler. It's tall! taller than the usual fans by a way - it's nearly 4ft high, but don't be put off by that. It's made by Dimplex who have been making these sort of things forever. It is unobtrusive in the corner of any room and on high setting you really do feel the air pushing towards you. Needs a very small piece of assembly to stand it on its' base but that's it - about 3 minutes and four screws and you're good to go. Oscillation feature means you can cover a wide area with cooler air as this does it's job. Nice little remote control unit supplied too. Rather disappointed
I bought this fan as I hoped it would be more powerful than my sturdy tower fan that I've had for years but I have to say that I'm pretty unimpressed with it's performance. It seems incredibly fragile and I really disliked the fact that I had to assemble the wretched thing before using it. Such was it's fragility that I was frightened that I'd break it during assembly. (Why on earth can't these things arrive intact?) I found it really hard to put the base together whilst keeping the rest of it in the right place. Cool product for hot days
Considering the competitive cost of the fan it certainly delivers on cooling. It is very lightweight, however, extremely robust. I found the remote useful to change settings as and when required. Compared to other high cost fans this one is definitely in the running as the cooling functions provide variance in speed e.g. Low, medium and high.
