The game you'll love to hate and hate to love
For those unfamiliar with the game, the basic premise is this... 2-4 players each grip onto a silver handle with a thumb push button (the cords are tethered to the base with what resembles a phone cord). You press the middle button on the base and the button glows red and plays this ominous stomach dropping music... when the button turns green, the last one to push the button gets zapped... press the button before the button turns green and you get zapped (shocked).
The intensity of the shock can be adjusted with a dial on the base. Frankly, my experience is limited to the lowest setting which was enough for me to scream like a little school girl, but go back for more.
The base has suction cups to help hold it steady and the grips themselves have held up plenty well to those moments of pure involuntary reflex (let's call it a survival instinct!) to throw the handle on the table to try to get the shock to end sooner than later.
I've played this with my sister and my nephews and it ends up in hysterical fits of laughter and pure dread all rolled into one. This is definitely a great party game and the unit has held up really well to the workout we've given it since having received it over a month ago.
Please do, however, heed the warnings in regards to not letting small children (i believe under 14 is what is recommended?), people with heart conditions or seizures etc play it. It does deliver a decent little shock and caution should be exercised.
