Simple is best
After a couple of years of using so called 'quality' digital or analogue pressure gauges, it's a HUGE pleasure to get back to a simple, straightforward pencil tyre pressure gauge. It's neat, compact and having been checked with a good calibrated gauge, is far more accurate than ALL the digital etc gauges that cost much, much more. Also, being neat and compact, it's far easier to use on my motorbike tyre valves that are sometimes damn hard to reach with bigger, allegedly better models. Draper tyre gauge - absolute rubbish.
Absolute rubbish. The numbers on the barrel had been overstamped so it could not move freely in and out. Used some emery paper and oil to rub down to make smooth. Still would not slide out smoothly because the inside edge of the top of the casing was rough and there was no say to fix this. Tried to take a tyre pressure reading but the barrel only came out partially. Tyre pressure was fine as checked with another gauge. Put it straight in the bin. I do not normally write reviews and Draper tools have been fine in the past but people need to know that this item is absolutely dire and not fit for purpose. If this is the new standard of Draper tools I will not be buying this brand again. Unfortunately cannot give 0 stars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A bit of a blow-out!
As with most Draper products, this gauge is solidly made and pretty robust, however when measured against a calibrated and verified against an electronic gauge, it's reading approx 3psi over pressure, which is disappointing considering the brand name. The amount out is not a great amount but as I use the gauge mainly on my motorbike tyres, that difference is not acceptable. As it's convenient to use, I've retained the gauge but I'll have to make the allowance when using it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Handy little guage that lasts well
This is the same as the one I had before, My last one lasted 45 years before it stopped working. So at age 70 I guess this one will last me forever. I can recommend this type of guage from my own personal experience. They are accurate - they last a long time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poorest of quality, rough inner tube would make a good file.
Very poor quality pressure gauge, rod sticks on the very rough stamped numbers, sounds more like a saw blade going in and out, psi reading kept sticking up to 6 psi out above and under, did try to flatten the rough tube with wet and dry, it did not work so I crushed it in my vice.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
