No Blades
Without blades it's certainly a difference, tried it at first in both cool and warm/hot modes and it works pretty good although, the cool mode can't be tested in the sunny weather yet. Obviously now it's on the warm mode and with the arc movement it's just what we wanted. I've dropped a star because It is noisier than I expected but c'est la vie the technology is good and no blades is great. I have it my garage area and it heats up the space just nicely around 18/19 dgs - the unit does go to standby when it detects the surrounding area is what it's set to and does turn on again and continue when it drops slightly so the thermostat works correctly. The stronger the flow that you set it to the noisier it does become so at the moment I have it on the lowest level which seems fine at the moment - when it gets colder then it will need to be a bit stronger methinks.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Loud and overpriced
I brought this product thinking it would be quite. On the contrary it is quite loud! The cooling effect is mildly felt only at high fan settings, when the product creates noise like a jet engine, making it impossible to sleep. To top it, a big blue light stays on throughout, ensuring that any remote chances of squeezing in a wink of sleep is wiped out. To top it at a price of £400, you feel you have been cheated into buying a substandard and ineffective product. I only brought this because, I read this article suggesting that ‘Her Majesty The Queen’ fancies this product. Glad it got it before summer!
Got this having seen my sister’s. They use it for their conservatory & mostly the heater. I got it more so for the cooler. Yes it’s not akin to an air conditioning unit but it’s significantly better than a standard electric fan. Good range of speeds & pretty quiet even at the highest level. I bought this Dyson because it was useable all year round and i am very pleased with them. I tried cheap Chinese copies of this heater/cooler but they were rubbish!!!!
