EASE OF OPERATION
The product works good for the price. other products out there but you will have to pay a heavy price. I have a 5 speed transmission in my car and only my left leg is available , So I use thee freedom staff for gas and brake it took a little time to get used of it but I mastered it. Dangerous
This product should be banned from production, distribution and sales. It is a dangerous system due to the way it hangs from steering column in a loose swing type of sling. By doing so when turning sharp or abrupt and attempting to brake and slow down it will some times accelerate. I learned this the hard way, I got into an accident totaling our ramp van and breaking my thumb. Due to my situation I will be consulting an Attorney about possible law suite. Do not buy if you are wanting to be safe. Buy the type you would get from a place that sells ramp vans and does the installation. Vehicle hand controls works but requires learning and coordination to operate.
The device works as described, was in near new condition. I installed it in a Honda Fit . The controls will take some getting used to but I believe it will enable my wife to continue driving despite declining use of legs. The only problem I have with it is. You have to pull to go and push to stop. this is a little confusing once in a while. I can cause unnerving lurches in acceleration if you are not paying attention.
