The ‘other’ moonwatch
Not the Omega Speedmaster Pro, which was NASA property, but a modern interpretation of a watch that was the personal property of an astronaut and used on the moon when the glass popped off his Omega rendering it inoperable. This one-off watch sold for $1.6million but this version is larger, with a UHF quartz movement giving smooth movement to the hands. Beautifully engineered, this watch has real presence on the wrist. This is the strap version – be aware that in the bracelet version the holes in the lugs are drilled closer to the case, so if you decide to switch to a strap it will be a tight, if not impossible, fit. The quality of the carbon-look strap is not great either, but that’s a minor quibble. You’ll need to be careful not to knock the sapphire crystal, which is totally exposed, and the lume could be better – but this watch is still iconic and well worrth the money, especially now prices are coming down from the $550 RRP. The other moon watch
The Bulova lunar pilot is a great looking watch but I was afraid it might be too large for me so I was hesitant about purchasing one. Luckily for me this one popped up on ebay for a great buy it now price and I thought sod it if its too big I can sell it on without a loss. So glad I took the punt it's a great watch is quite big but wears smaller than the stated size. I've a 7 inch wrist and it fits just fine,also treated myself to a super engineer bracelet which in my opinion looks great on this watch. Very happy with my purchase.

Nice collectors watch
Nice finish and presentation box with tool a nice touch. Great for the money on the large side however wears small even on slim wrist straps not amazing but hey its not a high end pricepoint and you get a steel strap if required. Face and glass look high end its a stunning looking design.
