Worked out great!
I’d already replaced my doorbell button once a few years back due to a burned out bulb. Had a heck of a time finding one where the mounting screwholes lined up with the holes in the stucco wall. So I figured that with this go around, I’d just replace the bulb itself. I knew it would require soldering - at least in the case of the way this button assembly was constructed. These bulbs work fine and light up the door bell
These bulbs seem fine. Here’s a tip (if you can solder): I note they are designed for 16v bell voltages, but my supply is 24 volts ac. What i did, was wire them in series, two bulbs in one push button (so they’re nominally ready for a 32v supply!). I did a similar thing with a 6 volt supply from my garage doors (this signals remotely whether the garage doors are open or closed). The bulbs i used in that case were 12v. Renewed Light For May Custom Doorbell
I bought a very special and expensive door bell button years ago and finally the light has gone out. I honesty don't want to replace it but for some reason, no one pushes the button to ring the door bell since the bulb has failed.
