At this price range I cannot think of another receiver that will outperform this one.
It is excellent for LSB and AM. At this price range I cannot think of another receiver with this many features that will outperform this one. My only complaint is that it doesn't have enough memory channels. I filled up the 80 memory channels in about 2 days. The remaining 20 memories cannot be manually programmed. An excellent radio at a reasonable price.
The physical condition of the radio is very good. All the knobs and buttons work. It actually has more attributes than I imagined, such as noise reduction, noise blanker, mode selections such as single sideband, morse code, RTTY, AM and FM. It was more complicated to use than I thought but worth my time. The only trouble was that there was no instruction manual. I would recommend this receiver for any swl with a little advanced knowledge of short wave listening. I am just now getting to understand all the options tuning it.
