Beautiful rich clear sound from the Rode NT1-A Microphone, perfect for Voice Overs
Well packaged, there's a 10 Year Warranty if you register with Rode. The microphone is super sensitive, it's Cardioid so really focuses the sound coming in. There is a clarity and richness to the sound that belies the cost of this microphone. A great mic for the price.
I bought two of these while setting up a new studio: I wanted a pair or microphones to record live performances 8n stereo in a compact form.by mounting them orthogally on one stand. They work perfectly and pick up low bass. Some say they have a peak at around 15KHz that make them a little harsh: I don't agree and in any case this could be taken out with just a touch of EQ. There's nothing wrong with this mic. However, I have also bought an Aston Stealth active dynamic mic: I'm keeping the NT1as for my original purpose but for a little more money this is a highly versatile mic. Its now my choice for recording instruments and vocals but it needs a shield.On balance now I would have bought more stealths.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

An excellent microphone!
Clean, clear and very little noise. With the pop shield and anti-shock mount you are good to go. Wish I'd bought this long ago, instead of a Beheringer cheapy. :( Oh yeah, I doubt you'll find a lightweight condenser mic. LOL. Just be aware, if you buy from a discounter, as I did, you won't be eligible for the extended Rode guarantee (which wasn't pointed out). Excellent mic.
An amazing mic for a small price. I had purchased this to record my acoustic and I can't believe how amazing it sounds. I then recorded my electric guitar with clean and high overdrive sounds. While this sounded so good on recordings I have started recording lead and backing vocals. It is, quite simply, an amazing mic. It comes wuth a pop sheild and harness. You get so much for such a small price. Not many good things come from Australia, but Rode mics are just fantastic. Great low budget condenser mic
I use an NT1-a as my workhorse mic for recording and sampling. For the price, it does a great job of capturing the sound. But it will capture everything, including background noise, so ideally used in a quiet recording space.
