Saves your lungs!
Easy to fit and use. Tied with a cyclone extraction system it minimised dust from grinding a concrete floor. Happy with that. It would have been even better if there was height adjustment around different types of disks that I used, because one of my turbo cups was too far recessed into the shroud to make contact with the floor.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

pretty poor
The quality of this item seems to be quite good, however the collar by which it attaches to the grinder is rather shallow and the clamp is weak and flimsy. It took me quite some time to get it to fit my Makita grinder, the shim supplied to pack out the collar to fit the guard was a little too fat and the collar on the guard would not flex enough. I did manage to fit it eventually but the cam lock is flimsy and although adjusted so it fits tightly the guard still moves slightly. Also the brushes on the bottom are pretty short and the rubber adapter for connecting a vacuum is a poor fit in the dust port on the guard. I would of expected these issues if I had paid £12-£15 and would most likely of accepted them and been quite happy, however at £30 plus I think this item is way over priced and would not recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great product.
Very well made, it fitted my new angle grinder but I had to pack out the grinding cup with a thick washer. It did not fit my old grinder as there was no collar on the grinder. Using a cup grinder creates an awful mess. I used it to grind down high spots on cement render. There was very little dust in the air after use. OK Grinder Guard
Even though it states it fits 4.5” grinders sadly it does not, I tried What was needed was a 5” grinder definitely mega fiddly attaching the shroud can be awkward to grind a flat surface. Hoover attachment is poor as it hose keeps falling off with the slightest of pulls. It does keep the dust down but not completely so a mask is still required.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Initially the hood would not fit my (old) black and decker grinder. So I borrowed my son’s Milwaukee cordless grinder. With the supplied spacer the diamond wheel I bought from screwfix was level with the brushes on the hood. This tool was a life saver for removing floor tile adhesive. Total game changer. Almost no dust, and the diamond wheel lasted for the whole job and is still not worn out. Use ear protection and a decent vacuum and you’re all good. It's a game changer.
Simple to fit and is a complete game changer, with the small amount of dust that manages to escape when used. Without this I just would not be able to get all the grout up from the floor after removing the floor tiles.
