What a cracking little camping tool!!
Bought this to try and add something different for family camping lunches. We took on away camping for a week and it ended up being one of our most used items!! I was really impressed- I ended up mainly using it for making toast in the mornings, something this thing does really well. My wife doesn’t usually like ‘camping toast’ as it used to end up taking so long to cook on our previous ‘toasting tool’ that it was like buttering mildly warm dehydrated cardboard. If you use this in closed formation, it ends up being on par if not better than toast at home. Works well as a toastie maker as well but don’t expect it to be like the electric toastie makers you buy- it doesn’t crimp the edges to seal the bread, so ideally you want fillings such as cheese that will sort of glue both pieces of bread together when it’s melted. It’s more of a ‘toasted sandwich’ maker in that respect. This little contraption turned out to be a big hit in our tent! Just a note- it works better if your hob is good quality, i.e- a decent flame on it. You’re toast or ‘toastie’ ends up cooking in no time so keep a good eye on it!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very light to easy to use.
This was so useful in campervan and perfectly toasted a lovely sandwich - very tasty and easy to use and very quickly done. Just a wipe inside made it clean with no bother and no sticking food. Nostalgia
More than 60 years ago we used to make round toasties from "milk roll" loaves. They are no longer common so a modern lightweight version capable of producing a hot snack or even simple meal on the caravan or camping stove reminds me of my youth. Simple, quick, and easy to wipe clean renders washing-up unnecessary and even more fun to try different combinations of fillings. A fast food device with the advantage of knowing the fillings are as fresh as you wish without unknown additives. I love this! It's brilliant. I mean not only does it make great toasties it's fast as he'll and you can use it as a non stick ultra fast frying pan! I made mushrooms and onions for the BBQ. I did fried eggs with no oil and a brilliant brilliant easy flip square omelet! :-) It even does great toast! Well better than the rubbish fold out toast makers for the stove. Really happy with it!
