Good features, but use caution
The station matches my expectations from looking at other reviewers: It comes up to temperature quickly and the calibration is reasonably close (+26 degrees out of the box). My impression is that it is sturdy and should give years of service. I'm subtracting a star because of an ELECTRICAL HAZARD that I did expect: The master fuse is on the Neutral wire instead of the Hot wire. This appears to be a common issue with many of the soldering stations in this style from China that have US-style NEMA 5-15 plugs. Buyers need to plan on opening the unit and correcting this. If this is not corrected and 'something bad happens' the fuse can be bypassed (a hot-to-ground fault would be a classic example). Fixing it is easy, and it's a shame the factory hasn't corrected this design flaw. There was an additional minor issue with the unit I received, but I won't deduct points for this. The metal bracket that screws to the side of the station to hold the Hot Air gun had broken its spot-welds during shipping (see photo). Any automotive muffler repair shop should be able to re-weld the bracket very cheaply, and due to my desk layout I may not attach this anyway. Overall I DO recommend this unit.

Awesome!
I've always used the old standard single temp soldering iron or a cordless butane unit, but I got tired of messing with both and decided to try the temp controlled variation. I was rather shocked to find that I could get a unit such as this with an included temp controlled hot air tool for under $100, half of that actually. It heats up within 30s to the correct temp every time with no issues so far. The sponge tray is useless, but that's hardly a deal breaker. Although the included tips work fine, I was disappointed that they didn't include a narrow wedge shape that I prefer, but it was easy to order a set of Hakko 936 tips that are identical in size and shape.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Can’t beat it for the price
This is a great little station and is much sturdier than I expected... it even comes with an extra heating element for both the iron and the air gun. 2 things to keep in mind though; the digital display only shows the temp of the hot air gun (but it is the actual temp) and the included tip for the iron is very fine, so if you’re going to be soldering large wires, you should get a larger tip.
