I bought this in an attempt to connect a network printer without having to trail Ethernet cables from my router downstairs to my printer upstairs. I didn't know if it would perform as I wanted but thought it a good option if it did. The instructions say it needs to be in a socket and not in an extension lead. As my router wasn't directly connected to a socket and was in a home made extension socket and so was my printer, I thought it may not perform as I needed, but it did and was well worth the money. It also acts as a wifi hotspot when you connect to it via its own connection and password, so it increased the wifi signal strength upstairs too. Great for the money

Rubbish tech
poor wifi boost. Frequent drop outs. common problem apparently. I got a very long LAN cable to connect it (hardwire) as a router and now it works. Good extender but with limitations
Purchased this and set it up no problem but was under the impression I could extend my home network further by purchasing additional Flex 600 plug ins but this is not the case as I purchased two additional units which do not work as they will not connect to the existing network. Not entirely reliable
It is very difficult to pin down where problems are arising - the booster - the device - the router - the property etc.. My little investigations would point to the device e.g. a tablet with a poor aerial, dropping connection. However if the receiving device has a good aerial it can receive direct from the base station any way!
