We bought the carbon filter to fit to our soil vent stack from which we sometimes got a strong whiff of sewage gas from the drainage system and have found the product works well, three weeks in and not a whiff. The filter is fitted to the top of the vent stack which will generally be about 600mm above your house eaves level so for two or more story houses some safe access will be required. In theory the ringed collar of the vent is simply pushed down inside the vent pipe but be sure you obtain the right sized unit, which from memory are available in 75, 90 and 110mm sizes so check with your supplier. If your pipe is an unusual size a flexible adaptor may be required, these can be a tight fit on the pipe, hence the importance of safe access. The filter element is a 70mm diam. Activated cabon element which is accessed by popping off the lid of the filter and dropping in the new element, this element has a two year life so once again bear in mind safe access. In closing, the filter works, check the fitting size before ordering and remember this has to be safely accessed at height every two years.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
