Great source of calcium/phosphorus if your do not want to feed raw bones to your pet.
This is a human-grade and made-for-humans product. This can (also) be an excellent product for feeders of canine raw diets, per my holistic vet''s advice = if you do not feel comfortable feeding raw bone, or have an older dog with worm teeth or too many missing teeth, to chew raw bone. Kal Bone Meal suggests a (human serving size) of 1 teaspoon. That amount contains calcium (from bone meal) in the amount of 1,300 mg per 1 teaspoon scoop which is 100% of a daily (human) diet requirement. It also contains 35% of the daily value of phosphorus (from bone meal) in the amount of 440 mg per teaspoon & 15 mg (4% daily requirement) of magnesium per teaspoon. It is the responsibility of the user to figure the correct amount for yourself (or your pet, if feeding a raw diet) and the amount of calcium (per pets) is figured, by how much protein is fed. Consulting your Dr. (for your needs) or your vet, may be advised, if you have trouble deciding on the correct amount.
