The DT 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 SAM II is a standard portable kit lens specifically designed to be used with Sony's APS-C image sensor. Its focal length is suitable for everything from wide-angle shots to portraiture shooting and also close-ups thanks to the magnification of 0.34x. The lens disposes of two aspherical and one ED elements designed in a way which reduces chromatic aberrations while image sharpness, contrast, and detail stay on point. Furthermore, the refined rear lens element prevents ghosting and flare, and there is no visible vignetting.
