Equipped with a 16.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, this compact camera has been manufactured to deliver impressive images and video. View and organize all your memories using the camera's 3-inch LCD monitor. The ZS25 has image stabilization, and its powerful 20x digital zoom lets you crop in close and still get handheld pictures that are sharp.Use this Panasonic Lumix to get photos of high quality without having to lug around a big camera. Weighing 6.8 ounces, it fits comfortably in your hand. The Leica DC optical zoom lens on this ZS25 is 24mm at its widest angle. The ZS25 camera produces images with a maximum resolution of 4608 pixels by 3456 pixels. Zoomed out to its maximum, the camera lens makes photographing groups of people possible without having to step back too far. At the other end of the camera lens’ range, its long telephoto zoom enables you to capture distant objects and scenes in close-up detail.With a f/3.3 to f/6.4 aperture range and a powerful flash, this Lumix gives you the edge in capturing good photos in low light. The flash covers an area up to 36-feet deep and 18-feet wide. When you're shooting in dim conditions, such as when the lights are low at a birthday party, you can still take great photos with a high ISO setting. The settings for light sensitivity start at 100, 200 and 400, but you can ramp it up to 800, 1600, 3200 or 6400. Shutter speeds range from four seconds to 1/2000th of a second on these particular Panasonic digital cameras. The LCD is a touch screen that makes easy work of focusing on many of your subjects. Just touch the face of the person you want to photograph, and with Face Detection enabled, the ZS25 will set the focus for you. If AF Tracking is enabled, simply use the screen again to pick out the person, and this Panasonic will track and focus on your subject. This Panasonic offers +2 EV compensation for exposures. Its bracketing capabilities permit you to take three exposures, each with up to 1 EV difference. These features allow you to have more control over how flesh tones, highlights, shadows and more will look in your final photo. This Lumix has automatic settings for 3D, Panorama and more. On the Scene dial alone, it has 18 presets. The conventional HDR mode of the ZS25 takes three exposures and combines them into one. This in-camera process is similar to one that photographers with photo-editing software use to create High Dynamic Range images on their computer.A rechargeable Panasonic lithium-ion battery pack powers this camera, which accepts SD, SDHC or SDXC memory cards. This compact camera also has 12 MB of internal memory, so if you forget to put in a memory card or fill up the one you have, you can still take more pictures. Excellent camera, it is as described, pretty much pristine condition and function is great!
Previous camera was a ZS19 (refurbished) It is slower than the ZS-25 and takes much better pictures. This camera is spot on with everything I've tried to do with it. Exposure is better as well as clarity I really like the lense drive, it too is smoother and faster than the 19 is. broken but not obvious
The item sold to me is a dud. It takes horrible photos when zoomed in; my friend had the same camera so I can tell there is a serious problem with this one.
