Early days yet.
Easy to installl,slip into slot in glovebox and it fires up, extensive range of settings and clear maps, one setting nags every time you exceed speed limit by your chosen amount, might have to change this to extra 10 MPH. Overall the unit is very good and can be set to however you like it. Great Produst Very Difficult To Use
Very Comprehensive, well made and simple to install BUT it is very difficult to use and has a steep learning curve. There are things which are necessary to perform which are NOT covered in the manual - Like Turning UP the announcement volume as the default is almost zero volume! I guess I'll Learn the O/S and get used to it but meantime is is a Distraction rather than an Aid! .. Easy to use. Doesn't take postal codes which would make it better. Maps need updating and cost £70 for latest versions. Integrates well with Mercedes SLK. Like the feature of providing Lane images in between the speedo and rev counter. Makes it safer and easier to read. Bloody marvellous!

Very impressed
Assuming you have a car (Mercedes Benz) which is pre-wired for it this unit could not be easier to install - just slot it into the bracket in the glove-box. Before that you should register it online and make sure mapping is up to date - that can be a bit fiddly and time-consuming but well worth it. Once installed it is easy to use and more intuitive to use than some other systems. We are still exploring its more obscure functions and it may fall a bit short there but not enough to cause us any concern. I wanted to have sat nav in my Mercedes but it didn’t come with it contacted Mercedes and they said yes you can have it on you’re car but it will cost you £300 . Good map tool
Really pleased overall with this Becker box. It does everything you can imagine other than when it comes to voice command for locations; it insists on German and only comes up with German locations! There doesn't appear to be a way to change languages as the button will not highlight for this, I guess i need to learn more German! A must module for Mercedes
I would not buy this at full price, but the used one I was sent was like new and connects well to the Becker site for updates if needed. The system itself is perhaps not as good as a stand alone of the same price such as TomTom but it is fully integrated with the car which is invaluable. It just clips into the tray in the glove box and configures itself no problem. Having the speed warnings turned on at all times is very useful to me as I obsess a bit about keeeping to the speed limits. It does not give full traffic flow like Google Maps which to me is the ultimate route finder but so far doesn't give speed warnings. I think though that a Merc is incomplete without the Becker Map Pilot, so buy one!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
