Bought these for my winter/touring bike. I wanted quality tyres with excellent puncture resistance. Weight not important to me on this bike - in fact I think a heavier bike in the winter , when rides are shorter, is good for my stamina. Tried, tested and trusted.
I've had these tyres before and they are tried, tested and trusted. One of the pair I ordered this time had a large air bubble on the inside casing where the inner lining had not bonded with the outer layer. The tyre bead was also kinked in two places where someone had tried to fold it in two (!) Best option for puncture resistance.
Good reputation for puncture resistance but too soon to tell if this set of tyres will live up to it. These are replacements for older tyres of same make and model but these suffered two punctures caused by flint shards. The best tyres I've ever owned
I've been using Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres on my bike for the past 8 years and I've just had one puncture during that time...and that was a nail that pierced the thick casing. The tyres are amazingly reflective at night as shown by the picture.
