You get what you pay for
For a $45 hat, this is a good value. I held in in one hand and a similar Panama Hat by Capas (Bogart) and the Capas was heavier and more even of weave. However, the Capas twice as much and is made in the USA. I will wear this one for everyday and the Capas for more upscale events. Caveat: Don.t pay the extra for shipping unrolled. It is poorly packed and will need steaming and shaping when it arrives. You might as well have it shipped for free, rolled up. Lastly, the box is junk. it does not even look like the photo and weighs less than the hat. I have no idea what to do with it or its original purpose. In short....You get wnat you pay for, a genuine imported, nice looking and handmade hat, of good quality, fit for casual wear. If you want something better, look for something that costs more. Very nice hat for the price
Don't expect a really high-end, superfine Panama hat. For this price that would indeed be miraculous. But for the money this is extraordinarily good value. You'll pay more than twice this much for a comparable hat in most brick-and-mortar stores in the States.
