Good solution to minor leaks
This is a remarkably effective solution to small leaks in a convertible roof. The patches adhere well and the solution remains strong and flexible, albeit with a glossy appearance, which might be a drawback on a matt finish roof. But note - this is fine for pinhole and very small holes, but is not suitable for rips or tears of any size beyond 5mm It is also essential to apply it to a clean and dry hood - good performance is irrevocably dependent upon good preparation.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Vinyl hood repair
Used to repair a split seam on an MG black vinyl roof. The instructions suggest working from the inner surface, this is fine in theory but impractical on a difficult area in situ and I ended up putting a thin line of the solution on the outside as well. It appears to have cured well though i did get a small drip onto the seat (fortunately black as well but should have put some paper down) Time will tell whether it survives folding the roof but I did not feel I needed to use the patches. With care, it has produced a reasonably acceptable repair and worth a try rather than replacing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very useful product. Easy to use and sealed the 2 small holes in my MG hood well. The repair, being non-matt, does show a bit; but the repair, being very small, this is not too bad. Not up to the job
I ordered one of these kits to patch very small holes in my convertible roof. I ordered black but received clear. Despite following the instructions, the glue to fill holes was a waste of time.
