Fifteen years after a horrific experience in a deceptively inviting ginger bread house, an orphan Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) have become famous for ridding the countryside of witches. Despite their stellar success record, the brother and sister face a unique challenge when an extremely powerful witch is identified as the culprit stealing children from a local village with the intent to sacrifice them in an ancient magical ceremony to be held on the night of the Blood Moon. As Hansel and Gretel race against the clock, making several unlikely allies on the way (among them include a troll and a witch hunter fanboy), they unexpectedly come across a link to their own pasts and the secret their parents took with them when they disappeared. Gives a new meaning to the Hansel and Gretel Fairy Tail.
First things first, not for the kiddies! Overall production was fair to good. Definitely lots of action, special effects and stunts. Character development was decent, but not to deep ( it is a supernatural action movie, not SpongBob). Lots of stunts, blood and gore and some decent stunt work. It all depends on your mindset. There are lessons, but none involve deep soul searching. However, still enjoyable and the price was right. Enjoy!

This is an amazing 3d movie. The movie itself is extremely well made but in 3d it's pretty sick. My wife & I watched it in the theatre in 3d but we're skeptical of how good it would be at home. The movie is probably a 3.5 star movie overall, but after seeing it in 2D I discovered that it was also available in 3D. The 3D conversion was excellent.
