About this product

Product Information

Enjoy the warmth and depth of analog audio and listen to music as it was truly meant to be heard with the Pro-Ject Debut III turntable. It lets you playback music from vinyl, filling your space with classic sound from your Hi-Fi. This turntable brings out the best in your records and is easy to set up and use, making it an ideal addition to any high-end audio setup. The Pro-Ject Debut III is a manual turntable, which means that you move the tonearm to stop or start the motor and drive belt, while you drop it onto the record to start playback. This type is durable and easy to use. The turntable includes an 8.6-inch tonearm, which accommodates standard LPs and 45 RPM singles. Adjust the counterweight on the back of the arm to balance the arm and control the amount of pressure on your records, which helps preserve their sound for years to come. The components of this Pro-Ject turntable are optimized for ideal audio. The motor is decoupled, which cuts back interference from turntable vibration. The tonearm lift is dampened with silicone, which ensures silent operation. The platter weighs three pounds, which provides a stable base for your records, without creating too much weight, assuring smooth motion and great audio while the equipment is running. The felt mat on the platter offers a soft surface for your records, which prevents friction during playback. The feet of the player absorb shocks, which keeps it from vibrating as it runs. The Pro-Ject Debut III turntable is easy to assemble and use. Although new turntables come disassembled, quickly and easily add the belt to the motor, assemble the platter, and adjust the counterweight on the tonearm. Instructions in the supplied user manual help you assemble your turntable. This model comes with a pre-loaded Ortofon OM5e cartridge. Change the cartridge and stylus at any time to enjoy premium sound quality. Like many turntables, this Pro-Ject Debut turntable does not include a built-in phono preamp. This means that you must connect the turntable output to a phono input on your amplifier and receiver. As many modern audio systems do not include phono inputs, you may need to connect an external preamp to your stereo, before connecting the turntable output. This gives the turntable a signal boost and ensures quality playback through the speakers. The Pro-Ject Debut III turntable requires a variety of accessories. Essential accessories include RCA cables, a receiver or amplifier, and speakers. This model does not include integrated speakers, so you must connect it to a Hi-Fi system to enjoy your vinyl records. Although it does not include a jack for headphones, you can listen to your records with headphones by plugging a set into your stereo receiver. Pro-Ject Debut III turntables come with all essential components to play records, including an Ortofon OM5e cartridge, felt mat, and a user manual to get you started. This model comes in a variety of eye-catching colors, including black, red, green, white, yellow, and silver. A metal pulley lets you switch between 33 and 45 RPM playback speeds. Pro-Ject offers an optional 78 RPM speed playback setting, so keep your eyes peeled for this option if your vinyl collection includes 78s.

  • Pro-Ject punches above it's cost weight

excellent step up from the entry level tables from Crosley, Audio-Technica, Fluance and many more - this is more like Mid-level of the starting audiophile - perfect turntable to have in a setup where the turn table is only occasionally used. The previous owner I bought it from had uprated the needle to an Ortofon OM20 over the standard Red 2E. For Jazz, Classical and instrumental such as Piano or guitar solo's acoustic - wow, just wow - the tone, the depth is so far beyond the Audio-Technical 60 I previously had - amazing
