Recommend With Qualifications
I purchased this item to use with a Dish satellite receiver 722k; I had two receivers but only one WNDA3100 v2 adapter. I assumed that this unit was backward compatible, but it is not, and the Dish receiver did not recognize the device. Although it is in like new condition and works properly, I had to purchase a v2 model, which was recognized by the receiver and works great. Therefore, you do need to verify in advance which versions of this adapter are appropriate for your purpose. I'm keeping my v3 for the future as it was a good deal otherwise. I would have given it 5 stars if it was backward compatible, but it is dependent upon the support provided by the device manufacturer to which it is attached.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Was a good purchase.
Cheap price. easy driver installation, just google the model number and adapter version i had a V2 and install. Works great so far. In my opinion it was a great buy could not have beaten the price for the speed this card puts out. I had the original model one before this one and it lasted me 8 years so now I'm glad to see that this card also puts out the same speeds. Very good product very good seller. seems to not work. I plugged it into an older TV that has a netwerk controller in it of the same vintage and it does not light up and turn on. I will try it in some other devices such as a desktop computer. Works with Dish Wally receiver... but for how long?
This really does work with Dish's Wally receiver. The quality is low -I ordered several and one lasted only a day - but haven't had any other problems since. Works fine but had trouble trying to load the software from the CD. I finally realized that I had the right WIFI adapter (version 2) but everything else including the box was for model version 3. Just what I needed...
Works great so far, very fast & easy setup for DISH receiver. Don't need the CD that came with it for installing on the DISH. Just plug it in to the DISH Receiver, click SETUP that automatically shows on TV screen, then follow prompts from there to add it to your Network. Haven't tried it on my laptop or desktop computer yet, but should be just as easy, especially since I have the CD that came with it. I Love that it's small & compact, so it doesn't take up much room. The NetGear WNDA3100 V3 is a very easy to install device. Even using the unit on my Microsoft Windows XP, SP3 the install was fast and complete. You know what I am talking about when I say complete. All functions were available from the start. I was able to connect to our Arris N router with NO problems. Transfer speed was very fast. I couldn't be happier with a device that's so totally reliable for solving the problem of upgrading a whole host of desktop and laptop computers without opening the case. The initial software CD is included in the box. (just be CERTAIN you do NOT plug the device into the USB port until prompted). AFTER installation is complete, it's easy to go to the NetGear website and download their latest software. Setup to Internet worked without a problem
The TV in our motorhome is not a smart TV. We bought a FireStick, so needed this adapter to connect our TV to our internet. Plugged it in, went into the TV settings and it had no problem connecting. As a test, I also plugged it directly into our Wally receiver and it also set itself up on our internet.
