A good quality replacement part .The compensated profile is accurate .With care replacement should be OK
The Tusq saddle is just over-size for my Taylor 214 CE guitar and will require only a little adjustment to fit into the slot in the bridge. I wish to lower the action at the bridge and also at the nut . I obtained the tusq saddle on which to make the adjustment keeping the original saddle unchanged so I can revert back to original spec if I boob with the adjustments !!! I feel confident that with care adjustment is reasonably possible. The original saddle lifted easily out of the slot with small pliers and with no detriment to the piezo pickups in the bridge ,there is a pick up for each pair of strings.

Tusq saddle replacement for Gibson J45
Trimmed the saddle down to fit and now my c. 2003 J45 actually plays in tune esp. in the upper register. Of course, it should be right before leaving the factory.....but hey......
