review on wiring harness
just installed harness. everything seems to work great. this harness bypasses starter solenoid. turn on a turn signal and it flashes til you hit turn signal again. other harness i had to hold toggle down. much better this way. very happy with new harness. now there is no wiring issues. i have an 86 heritage and wiring had been "repaired" by previous owners. wasn't pretty believe me. now everything is new. i had a time finding were to put module but once i figured that out everything went smoothly. wires are lots long enough and will need shortening to fit bike. very happy with product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great product, better install directions are needed
I'm a garage mechanic. I've owned Shovels and worked on them, to a point, but I think they could do ALOT better on the install directions. They left out some pretty important parts, in my opinion. How it ties in to the circuit breakers, ignition, and other circuits that should have fuses in line. I read reviews before I bought mine, and the PDM wiring looked to be pretty straight forward. I wish that it had some way to check diagnostics, like the earlier model... I guess it's not what I was looking for.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wiring made easy
I have wired bikes from scratch before, but this made it the easiest job yet. The unit is small enough to hide away pretty much anyway. All wires are olor coded and labeled which completely takes the guess work out of it. They are also long enough to wire an entire bike with plenty to spare. Depending on the application, the correct wire gauge is provided. Great. Everything you need in terms of connectors comes in the box, even the neutral switch cap. The provided connectors are weather proof, another big plus. Considering you want to use different colored wires when wiring your bike and how much it would cost to buy them separately, this box was actually not expensive at all. Not the mention the fuse boxes and relays etc. - which btw are inbuilt in this little box of magic. My only dislike about the application is the way the two wire bundles leave the controller. It's ok and in my case worked, but it adds another 2 inches to the size of the box because you can't really bend all the wires right there. I used this wiring kit to wire an old shovelshead and everything worked without issues - except that i can still crank the bike even when engine start switch is in off position. Not sure though if it's me or the design, and I double checked everything. Would be againVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value, easy install.
I installed this wire harness over a year ago. No hiccups in installation or performance. My application was a '95 FLHR that had the entire factory wire loom butchered so I had to start over. Two times a charm

Great for rewiring old restorations
Have used the Ultima Plus system on two restorations. An 87 HD Sportster and an older 1970 Triumph. The system worked well, instructions are generally clear, and everything is just easier and cheaper than trying to use an old harness and old electrical components. I got so tired of hunting down this stupid electrical short on my bike (94 Harley Davidson FXDWG), I ordered the harness thinking that this might not work, but it worked perfectly, not only did it work, it worked better than the OEM harness, and now I have 4 way blinkers as well, and it was easy to hook up my remote alarm system to it as well, and my Screamin Eagle ignition modual works perfectly with it, highly recommended, on a scale of 0-10, 15+...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
