It is different than the Remington's that I have used in the past which lasted me and still work today. At this time all I can same for the cost it seems to be a quality product because it is a Remington brand. Poor Quality Control
First: my address was printed illegibly and the postman delivered it next door. They were on vacation and it stayed in their house for two weeks. Next: The microscreen would not stay attached to the head when the razor was turned on. Tried other brand new screens, not working. Took the head off my old razor and attached it to thenew one. I'll use it this way, too much trouble to send it back and wait and the replacement might be just as bad. I have had the same razor that this one replaced for a very long time and it is my favorite electric shaver. The poor review is for the Remington Factory Store.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

AS ADVERTISED
It appears to be as advertised in new condition. Works well but the pop up razor is hard to raise, probably why it was a second, but that is a minor detail. Unfortunately, after getting this unit and using it for several days I noticed it wasn't charging. On a whim I tried a charger from a previous Remington shaver and discovered it charged right up. I then used that charger on my old unit and it charged right up, as good as new. O well, I now have two good, working razors.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A good razor.
I'm very impressed with this razor. It fits well in my hand, pivots with the contour of my face, well. I also like that it keeps its charge longer and dosent take long to charge, when needed. I do, however, have to go over my my face, quite a few times before I get all the stubble but that may due to my course facial hair. The results afterwards is a smooth shaven face and that's what it's all about. I'd definitely recommend this razor, to anyone!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Remington F4790
I am rather disappointed with this shaver. I don't like the rotaries because I do not think they give as close a shave as a foil razor. I have been using a 307 for a long time and am happy with that shaver. But, the batteries are no longer charging well. I like the fact that the foil and blades are removable for cleaning. I find NO benefit in the pivot head. I don't like the fact that the heads and foil are NOT removable for cleaning. AND - it is very noisy. Besides, it does not seem to shave as close as the 307. Isn't my kind of shaver
Have used Remington shavers before and have been satisfied. I don't have a course, heavy hair beard so I've been using a hand razor. After these many years, I thought Remington would have advanced to give my beard a clean shave. Push a button and shave seemed ideal, but the Remington didn't save me a minute of time as I had to go over and over my beard till I brought out my 3 blade hand shaver. Refuses to refund purchase cost for returned item
I ordered this item in error. I contacted the seller the next day and he told me to just return it for refund. I returned it the next day but he never refunded my payment. I have contacted him several times since and he later said that I should "send us a refund request through ebay". I contacted Ebay and was told that there is no such thing as a rebate request. Works great for the price
This is a great razor for the price. I use it for my bald head and it replaced the Bald Eagle Essential with 5 rotating blades. I find that this razor gives me a much closer shave. I also was frustrated that the Bald Eagle failed to hold enough charge for even one shave and that it happened just weeks after the 1 year warranty expired. I have only had the Remington for about 6 weeks and so far it hold a charge well. Best Shaver I Ever Had
I have been using electric shavers since 1962, so I have had quite a few. This is the best one yet. I especially like the easy cleaning design. Just hold it under running water a few seconds, and it's clean. It holds a charge much longer than others. I charged it when I got it, and not again for more than a week. I shave every day, and each shave takes about five minutes, so their claim that a charge lasts 40 minutes is valid in my experience. There's a red/green light just below the power switch to remind you when it needs a charge. The swivel head they tout in the ads is not such a big deal. I think the shaver would work just as well without it. The built in trimmer actually works, unlike some of the Remington's competitors. At about $20 for the repacked unit, it was an excellent value, in my opinion. The shaver has solid feel to it, not too heavy, not too light, just right.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
