  • 'Yealink' SIP-T22P Phone

The phone was packaged very well with air-filled plastic to cushion the phone. Each element came in its own sealed plastic bag and were arranged well in a (non-original) box. The aesthetics of the phone were in extremely good condition with only one small mark on the unit itself. Although, on the back of the unit, the phone was 'Yealink' branded, the logo above the screen and the web GUI were 'Spitfire' branded even though the photo shows a 'Yealink' branded phone. The phone functions perfectly with my VoIP system and the sound quality was very good. The phone has a clear display and is incredibly easy to operate the variety of functions on the phone. The speakerphone works very well with clear audio at a range of volumes. It also fits smartly on a normal sized office desk.

  • Cannot fault them for Asterisk or FreePBX

I bought a number of these to use with a FreePBX system. Previously I had purchased CISCO IP phones but that was a BIG mistake as you cannot easily unlock them which makes them useless. These phones are easy to carry out a factory reset so are much easier to set-up. The built-in web server is used to configure them and connecting them to FreePBX or Asterisk is easy to do. In use the phones seem to be reliable and easy to reconfigure. The hardest thing to do is change the on-screen logo (ie personalise) and there is a simple python program available to do the image conversion. If you want headsets then there are many to choose from but check the supplier has the correct connector (RJ11) for this phone. I have five in use regularly now and, as they are so cheap, I bought a spare.
