    Good product good price 👍

I had to use the full tin to remove the red lead paint from my sandstone door step, however, it did not remove all of it as I think the stone has absorbed the colour into the step over a period of a few years. It probably removed 85 percent of the original red paint but overall it definitely looks a lot better. The added bonus for me was the product was water based and not a mixture of chemicals overall very happy with the product and price.

Good but a bit expensive for the pot size

I was fairly sure that the last time I bought this for the same price that it was a lot bigger. Its good stuff (i use it to strip paint from miniatures) but I just wish it was in a bigger pot or a little cheaper.

  • Great stuff for modellers everywhere

I bought this to strip an old Revell 1/48th scale Heinkel 111 kit. The model was at least 10 years old and had been crudely painted by the original modeller. I wanted a product that would remove both acrylic and enamel paint without melting plastic. This product did the job beautifully, and it smells very nice. Left to soak in overnight it washes off with a stiff bristle brush dipped in water, taking the paint with it. It does not sting the hands, but I don't recommend leaving it on them too long. It washes off easily with soapy water. i found it took a couple of applications to remove stubborn areas, but it all went very well. Leaving small components in a tub of methylated spirit cleans the pieces further and doesn't conflict with this product. The end result was a perfectly stripped kit, good as new. Oh, yes, the Biostrip also weakens old polystyrene cement and reduces it to a rubbery goo, so the kit cracked apart very easily. Don't know about cyano, but that is brittle anyway. Only slight drawback is that clear parts will attain a slight mist, as Biostrip affects the surface of clear plastic. Easily solved by polishing back to clarity with Duraglit, toothpaste, T-cut or a 'magic' sponge and dipping in Pledge/Future..This product is THE ANSWER for stripping old kits, and the manufacturers could do themselves a favour by advertising it internationally in the main modelling magazines and websites. At my current rate of use, one tub will last for several years. Excellent stuff!!

  • Ok but needs numerous applications

I used this to strip the paint from a model car, it did eventually but only after 3 applications. That's fine but means you will get through the product in quick time. Its not as good as some other products I have used and so when this one is finished I am going to go back to those.

  • What I needed

The fact it said it was non toxic, sold it to me, as I have 2 indoor cats. Doesn't mean to say I was being silly with it, just that myself and the cats, didn't have to deal with the 'headache' smell, that other stuff gives off. Also, follow the instructions, as it does take a good 45mins to do its work. So, you can at least get an episode of something in, between each coating. At the end of the day, it did the job I needed it to do, and, I felt more at ease, working with it around the cats, although still taking precautions. Would recommend it, less sanding to do 👍

  • only for acrylic paints

if you have oiled based paints this does not work but for acrylic paints such as Satin wood it is great. You need to leave it on for several hours though (I left each layer on all night so if you are in a hurry this is not for you). it stripped my door with about three goes but the door edging was oil based paint so I had to use my heated electric paint stripper. Low odour makes it safe to use with animals in the house. all together very pleased with the result.

  • Does what it says on the tin. Worked great on a slate paved path.

Used it to get rid of assorted paint marks from getting paint on my shoe and walking it down a slate paved path, to blobbed paint from painting the gate at the end of the path. Painted on with a paintbrush. Left for an hour. Pressure washed off. Job done. It did leave a mark for about 3-4 hours afterwards from where the gel had been but this disappears and leaves you with a clean finish.

  • Used this to remove silver spray paint o...

Used this to remove silver spray paint off old wheel trims ,and yes it works very well ,but it's a bit of a pain to remove as it's very sticky. Had to use hot water pressure washer to blast off the softened paint ..pleased with the results

  • Nice to use, non hazard

Nice to use, no smell, takes much longer than other types to work but can be used on plastic. I needed to remove paint from perspex, did a good job, very pleased.

  • Bio Strip 20

This in an excellent product I use for stripping paint off plastic wargaming miniatures. It’s by far the best substance I’m aware of for doing that job.
