Plain and simple
Plug and play, works like a charm. The screw hole and double sided tape for fixing it in place are both nice touches. You plug it together with any of your PSU 3 pin fan outputs and plug the fan to the other end and you're done. You can use splitters to power and control more fans with splitters especially when you use lower current ones to achieve a more silent result. In my case I hooked it up to 3 fans to raise the inside pressure while running at the lowest possible speed to have less noise around the computer and I am very satisfied. Good fan controller for 5v fans
The gelid fan controller is great at lowering the fan speeds at 5v and it also has adhesive so you can place it where you want, the only thing I didn’t like is it feels a little cheap on the fan plugs and are easy to damage if you ant careful.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

If you have no other convenient way ie.,spare motherboard header, then this is the way to go. It's effective, quiet and provides a fan control solution, which provides noise reduction.
