Stormbreaker and the character Alex Rider are recognised by most kids.
Bought for a reluctant young reader and, with a bit of encouragement they are being read at an increasing pace. A good story with typical 'Spy Advertures' that most youngsters fantasize about. Every kid wants to be a mini James Bond ! Probably a present day version of Cowboys and Indians and enjoyed by kids from the age of 10 to 100. Completely different style to the Harry Potter series but equally compelling. Most kids seem to recognise a film called Stormbreaker, which is basically the story of book 1. An ideal gift for any youngster who likes reading books but, if you have a youngster from about the age of 9 or 10 and upwards, girl or boy, who could do better with their reading, this series might just help. My 11 year old son is really enjoying this series. Hence I am now buying copies as birthday presents for his friends.
