Very cute love story
This movie is loaded with interesting characters and a story line that keeps the viewer engaged throughout. The interaction between Doc (Nick Nolte) and Suzy (Debra Winger) is priceless as a love story. The Great Frog Caper is a funny and entertaining side story, almost as funny as Doc and Suzy trying to jitterbug together. Delightful movie.

Not Cannery Row (Pictures, see below, are not Applicable
it had little to do with Cannery Row and more about Sweet Thursday. The storekeeper was wrong for Cannery Row. He was Lee Chong. There was no old Chinaman to walk through the Row each day. Where was the Palace Flophouse. And so on. Many of the charming and hilarious scenes were missing. The frog event was right but where was the car journey that got them to the pond? It was not the story I read.

Great story.
This is another one of those movies that slipped off the radar of the general movie goer. It is a great story of a time in America when they were suffering through the great depression. A well written and acted story with an great cast. Highly recommend if you enjoy a great story.

Great heart warming love story. Humorous and almost riveting.
this movie is little known. I think the reason is that it was up against ET at the box office. And came out in the same year as Rocky 3, Star Trek wrath of Kahn, Blade runner, Annie and a few others.

A remake that is well worth watching
A good movie that I have watched at least 8 times,,,,, so far. The county frog round-up is reminescent of Mark Twain's writing on the subject. Nick Nolte as the main character is not at all overbearing. There is much more plot and acting than there is action. A good, relaxing movie.
