Hilarious Mantel, the star!
I absolutely love the way Hilary Mantel writes. I can see the characters through her eyes. I originally bought the hardback version which was simply too big and too heavy. I read the first 100 pages then ordered the paperback. The book itself is heavy and thick but very manageable to read. I carry it around in my bag so that if I have a spare 5 minutes, I can sit and read a few pages. I have read many books about the Tudors, tutor England and about Thomas Cromwell. Hillary Mantel brings what happened 500 years ago instantly to life. She is an absolute craftsman. I've read many books and just find her style so easy to access.
