Easy to make multiple types of pasta.
I bought this unit because my son loves pasta. In fact all he will eat is pasta. Now with the Philips Avance, we have multiple different types of pasta we can have on hand. The unit came with 7 different dies to make 7 different shapes of pasta and with different recipes, we can make anything from semolina pasta to udon noodles. Note, my unit has an auto weigher, which is supposed to weigh the flour and give you the proper amount of liquid to add. The scale on mine seems a bit off, but you can bypass the scale and put in any recipe of flour and liquid.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

If you are thinking about buying a pasta machine … spends little more and get the internal scale. I had the model without the scale and measurements needed to be precise and every so often I would mess up and have to get rid of the dough. With this machine there is no screwing up.
